Tiffany Hokanson

Tiffany Hokanson joined the Department of Art and Design as an assistant professor of art and design, specializing in ceramics, in 2024. She spent the previous two years at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, where she was an assistant professor of art. During that same timeframe, she was a ceramics instructor through the Umpqua Valley Arts Association.

Her prior teaching experience came in the Midwest as an associate instructor at the Eskenazi School of Art Architecture and Design at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana (2019-21). In all, Tiffany brings more than a decade of experience teaching in the field, beginning her career as an instructor at the Ashland Art Center in Ashland, Oregon (2013-18) and as a visiting instructor at Southern Oregon University in Ashland (2017).

She earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 2021 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Southern Oregon University in 2011. Tiffany lives in Newberg with her cat Bear. She attends Red Hills Church in Newberg and enjoys all things art, family time, hiking and cats.
